Patrick Smith is pastor at the upper room. Patrick has a burden to reach the lost and proclaim the gospel to Chula Vista, CA. He was instrumental in establishing the Urban Refuge homeless outreach ministry in our community. He is the wonderful dad of 4 beautiful children including his brand new one, Samuel! He and Katrina are happily married, and like Joshua — for him and his household they will serve the Lord.
Lee Wagenblast planted the upper room in 2006 and is currently a pastor of the church. His vision for the upper room is to reach young families in the South Bay area of San Diego with the love of Jesus Christ and with the hope and expectation of lives being radically transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit.
At age of 21, he surrendered his life to Jesus Christ. The Lord then immediately started preparing him for ministry by placing Godly men in his life to disciple and encourage him in his walk. After years of dedication to studying the Word, he was hired as a youth pastor at a local church where he served 5 years before God called him to start the upper room.
***After 10 years of serving at the upper room, Lee & the family have relocated to the South.
Katrina Smith & Dylan Voelker and a variety of guest musicians make up the upper room worship team. We are truly a blessed fellowship in this regard and many others. Download some of the upper room worship here.
